Evan Francen is CEO and Co-Founder of FRSecure (https://frsecure.com), an information security consulting and management company based in Minnesota. Prior to establishing FRSecure in 2008, Evan spent more than 15 years as an information security and corporate leader in both private and public companies including Jasc Software, US Bank, Wells Fargo, United Health, Corel Corporation, Mattersight Corporation, MGI Pharma, and Eisai Ltd.

He has led investigations into noteworthy and much-publicized information security breaches and has provided information security advice in numerous high-profile legal proceedings, including the Target Special Litigation Committee following the 2013 breach.

Evan has extensive experience designing solutions for complex information security problems. He is well-versed in governmental and industry-specific frameworks, regulations, standards and guidelines including NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27000, FISMA, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI-DSS, FDA CFR Part 11, SOX and COBIT. He is the chief designer of FISASCORE®, the definitive measurement of information security risk used by more than 500 companies in the United States.

Evan has presented at hundreds of information security conferences and workshops, discussing topics ranging from social engineering and risk management to incident response. He has written more than 700 articles about various information security topics and has been featured in dozens of television and radio interviews with noted organizations such as NBC, USA Today, and CBS Radio
